Happy New Year to you and your family. We hope you had a lovely christmas.
We are all well including Max, though he has had a lonely year without
Sophie.
This year has had many changes for us. Adam and his partner have come to
live with us and have produced for us a new granddaughter. The baby is one
month old and is absolutely beautiful, her name is Elizabeth, I am very
lucky as I get to see her every day.
Good luck with your future studies, I think you will have a lot of work
ahead of you but it will be worth it.
We had a dinner party with Caroline and Colin just before Christmas and we
were remembering the birthday party we had with you all. This summer in
Portsmouth was very bad weather, so it was a good year for you to miss a
vacation.
Of course, if you come back this way you must visit. We had a visit from
Benedikt in June. We had a lot of work on the house so I did not have
students stay this year, but he came to dinner and we caught up on the news.
